JOB TITLE: Community Engagement & Event Coordinator

This Is a Full-Time, Hybrid Position, With Potential to Grow to Full-Time

What We Do:
Our mission is to guide brain injury survivors, individuals with disabilities, and their families by 'bridging the gap' between surviving and living lives of independence with dignity and hope. We support people in rebuilding skills they once performed independently before a life-changing tragedy such as a car accident, stroke, assault, or fall, or before they faced the challenges of a debilitating disease.

Here's What We’re Looking For In A Community Engagement & Event Coordinator:
This exciting new position will play a crucial role in increasing community involvement, coordinating meaningful events, and promoting fundraising initiatives for Bridges For Brain Injury and our Wildlife Rockstars program.

We’re seeking someone passionate about building relationships, creating engaging events, and representing our mission within the community. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organization, and leadership skills, along with experience coordinating events, working with diverse groups, and inspiring participation.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Plan and execute community events, fundraisers, and activities aligned with the organization’s goals and mission
  • Build partnerships with businesses, sponsors, and community organizations to increase engagement and support
  • Coordinate outreach efforts to promote participation and awareness for events and initiatives
  • Organize and manage volunteers to assist with events and ensure smooth operations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to promote events through social media and other marketing channels
  • Monitor and evaluate event success, providing post-event analysis and recommendations for future improvements

Qualifications & Skills We’re Looking For:
Degree in Event Planning, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred)
2+ years of experience in event planning, community engagement, or nonprofit fundraising

Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills

  • Strong organizational abilities with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Proficient in event management tools and software (preferred)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Passionate about community involvement and supporting meaningful causes

Pay Range: $20 to $22 per hour (commensurate with experience and education).
