What We Do

Life Skills Training

Our Independent Living Skills Training (ILST) program empowers individuals to learn, improve, or maintain the essential life skills needed to live independently within their community. Through personalized strategies and techniques, participants gain the tools and confidence to better manage their daily lives.

An ILST works one-on-one with individuals in their homes and communities, creating and supporting customized goals chosen by each participant to foster greater independence. Each plan is designed specifically for you and what you want to achieve!

Your Goals Might Include:

  • Budgeting: Managing your finances effectively
  • Household Management: Organizing and maintaining your home
  • Medical Coordination: Planning and attending medical appointments
  • Health Management: Building habits for overall wellness
  • Meal Planning & Preparation: Creating nutritious, budget-friendly meals
  • Computer Skills: Enhancing digital literacy
  • Community Integration: Becoming more engaged in your community
  • Transportation Training: Navigating local transit systems
  • Self-Advocacy: Building confidence to advocate for yourself
